FOR THE BURGER
1 cup mushroom
½ red onion
230g black beans (I used packaged ones – already boiled)
5 tbsp oat flour
½ tsp salt (or more if you prefer)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika powder
2 tbsp water (or more if needed)
1 tbsp olive oil
In a bowl, mash the black beans using a fork.
Chop the red onion and mushrooms. In a pan, fry the mushrooms and onion in some olive oil.
Add the mushroom and onion to the bowl with mashed beans. Also add the spices, oat flour, water, soy sauce and sesame seeds. Blend together with a spoon. If the dough is too sticky, add more oat flour. If too dry – add more water. Also add more salt if needed. Try some of the dough to taste.
Fry on medium heat on each side for 5 minutes.
Serve with hamburger bread, salad, tomatoes, vegan cheese, onion and some salsa!
